The Suryodaya Trust consists of two English medium schools recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, which serve the weaker sections of society. More than 700 underprivileged students in Kolkata are educated at the institutes at Santoshpur and Birati who receive 100% scholarships, free uniforms, free books and nutritious meals. Suryodaya acknowledges the importance of education as a key to improving socio-economic conditions for children from poor backgrounds.
